Glitter Heart Wooden Sign

So I love Valentine's Day! It is one of my favorite "holidays." Growing up, I always celebrated it as a friendship day so it was never really about having a boyfriend or not. Now that I have an apartment of my own, I get to decorate however I want. This year I made a couple of decorations for our home. This glitter heart wood sign is one of them. It was my first time making anything glittery and I definitely learned a lot from my mistakes. It is kind of funky looking, but it works haha

First Christmas Tree Keepsake

If you are recently married, and just got your Christmas tree, consider saving a branch or two for this easy DIY project for the sentimental couple.

This will be our second Christmas, but before we threw last year's tree away, we made sure to save some branches from our Christmas tree so that we could make an ornament to keep forever. You don't have to wait a whole year to make this though, you can clip branches now and put this on your tree now.

A Thankful Heart

I am so so excited to be participating in Aleigh's "A Thankful Heart" link up. I love this idea and I am so excited to share some of the many things I am thankful for!

To be completely honest, this year was hard. My family went through a lot of bad experiences that left me wondering if I had much to be thankful for. In reality, I do have tons to be thankful for! My husband and I are very blessed and life is good for the most part. I am just so thankful for this opportunity to share the many many things I am grateful for, but I will start with a simple two.

Bunnies and Pumpkins

Last year when we got our pumpkin, Lucy was really into the pumpkin and Joey caught a cute pic of her so we decided to take pictures of our bunnies every year by the pumpkin. So here is our bunny photoshoot for your enjoyment!

A Very Dog Halloween 2016

To continue the tradition of sewing handmade costumes for Halloween, my husband and I decided to have Jake and Toby dress up as The Green Arrow and The Flash. I've been watching the CW shows for years now, but my husband recently got into them and that's all we have been talking about lately, so it felt appropriate!

I was going to make both costumes, but then I saw the dog flash costume online and I loved it so much! So the only handmade costume this year is the Green Arrow costume Jake is wearing...well, hope you enjoy these cute pups dressed up as super heroes!

Take a look at last year's costumes here and the whole Halloween Feed here.

Dog PJs

So Toby gets really cold during the Fall and Winter, specially during the nights. You will often find him hiding under 3 or 4 blankets on a cold winter night, that is why he has many sweaters. Though some dogs don't need sweaters, Toby's coat is a lot lighter than other dogs' so he wears a variety of sweaters during this time of the year. He looks super cute, just look at that face!

Is a bunny right for you and your family?

Many people make the mistake of thinking that bunnies are the perfect small pet for their family by assuming that bunnies will need little upkeep and care. And even though bunnies are so much fun to take care of and have around, if you're not willing to put in the work, maybe a bunny is not for you!

Our bunnies (from left to right): Lucy and Penny
My husband and I have two rescue bunnies and even though they bring much joy to our home, they are definitely not an easy pet to take care of. My husband and I did not do that much research on our bunnies, so we had to learn as we went along, but these are some of the important things I think you should look into if you are considering a bunny as your family pet.
